The stage is set for another exciting finish at the Bing Lee/ Samsung Women’s NSW Open, with the 2011 champion Swede Caroline Hedwall and Western Australian amateur Minjee Lee tied at the top of the leaderboard, however, the defending champion Lydia Ko is right in mix just one back.
On a day when scoring became increasing more difficult due to north-easterly winds picking up to a constant 30 km/hr, Hedwall and Lee posted rounds of three-under-par 69 to be at nine-under-par.
Western Australian Kristie Smith (70) and Queensland Sarah-Jane Smith (70) share fourth position at six-under-par, while first round leaders Victorian Stacey Keating (73) and Bree Arthur (73) along with South Australian Stephanie Na (71) are a further shot back in sixth position.
Five players are at four-under-par; England’s Laura Davies and Elizabeth Bennett, Western Australian Whitney Hillier, New South Wales amateur Shelly Shin and France’s Joanna Klatten. Klatten fired the low-round of the day a five-under-par 67.
62 players will contest the final round after the cut was made at five-over-par.
