“Martin’s been my teacher forever so it was great him being here and we put in a lot of work at the beginning of the week. My chipping has been a little bit better and I played a lot better this week than over the last few weeks.”

Prior to her victory Hall had made two of six cuts this season, with her best finish a tie for 30th place in the Tenerife Ladies Open. She is now taking a week off but will return to action in a fortnights’ time for the Catalonia Ladies Masters.

She earned a first prize of €30,000, which took her to 10th place on the New Star Money List, and she earned 40 Solheim Cup points, leaving her in 11th place on the 2007 European Solheim Cup standings.

At the end of the tournament, six players shared third position on one-under-par and they were: Becky Brewerton of Wales (69), England’s Felicity Johnson (70), South Africa’s Laurette Maritz (71), Australia’s Sarah Kemp (71) and Joanne Mills (73) and Spain’s Tania Elosegui (71). Kirsty S Taylor of England had the best round of the tournament, a five-under 67, and she shared ninth place with compatriot Samantha Head (72) on level par after 54 holes.
