England’s dynamic duo, World no. 8 Charley Hull and Major winner Georgia Hall, are set to face off in Riyadh as they compete for the coveted Aramco Saudi Ladies International Presented by PIF, taking place from 15-18 February 2024 at Riyadh Golf Club.
The tournament, held in the capital for the very first time, boasts a $5m prize purse that equals that of the men’s equivalent, attracting one of the strongest fields in women’s golf.
After their debut in Riyadh in October 2023, the English pair are amongst a host of players returning to the impressive Riyadh Golf Club to compete for the prestigious title.
Following a remarkable 2023, during in which she secured a second-place finish at two Major tournaments, Charley Hull is aiming to surpass her impressive third-place achievement in the Aramco Team Series presented by PIF – Riyadh.
The overall impression that Riyadh made on Hull last year was a contributing factor to her returning to the capital so soon, with the welcoming hospitality and vibrant cultural scene leaving a lasting impression.
Recalling her visit to Riyadh in October 2023, Charley Hull said: “The opportunity to come back to Riyadh was one that I couldn’t turn down, as last time was such a memorable experience. On the course, I played some exceptional golf, and this time I’m looking to do even better and leave with a trophy.
“The welcome of the people in Riyadh was brilliant, and my experience in the city was brilliant –the nightlife was amazing, and it was all topped off by the fantastic entertainment on show in the city.”
As England’s top two golfers grace the greens of Riyadh Golf Club, they join a strong field that champions inclusivity, diversity, and a collective passion for the sport.
A former winner of the tournament, Georgia Hall knows exactly what it takes to win in Saudi Arabia, and will be looking to use that knowledge to secure her second Aramco Saudi Ladies International Presented by PIF title.
Georgia Hall, reflecting on her triumph in 2022, said: “Winning the tournament in 2022 was certainly one of the highlights of my career so far, and it’s exciting to see how the Aramco Saudi Ladies International continues to evolve.
“The commitment to prize funds and equality is as strong as ever, and now Riyadh will provide us with a whole new challenge, and as we saw with the Aramco Team Series, it gives an opportunity for you to really start fast and contend at the top of the leaderboard.”
The Aramco Saudi Ladies International Presented by PIF takes place in Riyadh from 15- 18 February, with a strong field expected to compete for the significant $5 million USD prize purse.
