GETTING TO KNOW… DARCEY HARRY

Wales’ Darcey Harry has made an instant impact upon joining the Ladies European Tour (LET) picking up one victory and becoming a popular presence on and off the course.

Born in 2003 in Dinas Powys, Harry attended the Royal Agricultural University graduating with a degree in Equine Sciences. Having represented her nation as an amateur, the Welshwoman tee’d up at LET Q-School in 2024 finishing second to secure full playing rights for 2025.

Since then, the rookie has continued to show her qualities earning four top-10 finishes including one win at the Hulencourt Women’s Open in Belgium. The three-shot victory was a special one for Harry with it coinciding with her 22nd birthday. On top of that, the Welshwoman was aided by having DP World Tour star and boyfriend Jacob Skov Olesen on the bag.

With the win, Harry qualified for the AIG Women’s Open at her home course, Royal Porthcawl, completing something she had also dreamt of. It would prove to be a special week for Harry as she made the cut eventually finishing T40.

Off the course, Harry is an avid horse rider and owns her very own steed, Larry. Following her victory in Belgium, the 22-year-old even received a personalised head cover of the beloved horse.

Currently 13th in the Order of Merit with one event left to play in 2025, we caught up with Harry to hear more about her journey to the LET…
