The opening ceremony of the 2024 PING Junior Solheim Cup (PJSC) is now complete with the competition officially getting underway on Monday morning at Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia.
This year sees the 13th edition of the biennial contest which was inaugurated in 2002. It follows a similar format to the senior event.
Team Europe take on the USA on away soil and head into the competition as defending champions after a 15-9 victory last time out in Spain. The away side are bidding for a hat-trick of victories for the first time in their history.
European captain Gwladys Nocera and USA captain Beth Daniel officially introduced their team during today’s opening ceremony and announced pairings for Monday’s foursomes.
The battle for the trophy will start with foursomes in the morning and continue with fourballs in the afternoon.
Tuesday will be the final day of the competition and it will see the teams go head-to-head with twelve singles matches.

The morning matches are highlighted by match six. Spain’s Revuelta is the highest ranked girl in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (World No 9) with Talley is ranked World No 37.
