With the opening ceremony for the 2023 PING Junior Solheim Cup (PJSC) complete, the competition will officially get underway on Monday morning at La Zagaleta.
This week sees the 12th edition of the biennial contest, which was inaugurated in 2002 and follows a similar format to the senior event, as Team Europe take on the U.S. Team in Spain.
Europe head into the competition as defending champions having caused an upset last time out after producing a phenomenal singles performance to clinch the title for the first time since 2007.
Team Europe captain Gwladys Nocera and U.S. Team captain Amy Alcott officially introduced their team during today’s opening ceremony and announced pairings for Monday’s foursomes.
The battle for the trophy will start with foursomes in the morning and continue with fourballs in the afternoon.
Tuesday will be the final day of the competition and it will see the teams go head-to-head with twelve singles matches.
