After last week’s Trust Golf Asian Mixed Cup, the Ladies European Tour stays in Thailand for another week as the second event of the double header is held.
Siam Country Club – Waterside Course will play host to the Trust Golf Asian Mixed Stableford Challenge where players will compete in a Modified stableford format.
How does it work?
In comparison to last week’s 72-hole stroke play event, in a Modified stableford players score points based on the number of strokes taken on each hole.
Therefore, birdies and eagles will earn players points but bogeys and double bogeys will cost players points from their totals.
The goal at the end of the four days of the Trust Golf Asian Mixed Stableford Challenge is to have the highest total number of points.
If at the end of four days there is a tie for 1st place, the winner will be decided by a normal stroke play hole-by-hole playoff.
How many points do players get?
Below is the Modified stableford that will be used during the tournament this week.
HOLE IN PLAY | SCORE | POINTS |
Three-under-par fixed target score or better | Double Eagle/ Albatross | +8 |
Two-under fixed target score | Eagle | +5 |
One-under fixed target score | Birdie | +2 |
Fixed target score | Par | 0 |
One-over fixed target score | Bogey | -1 |
Two-over fixed target score or no score returned | Double bogey or more or no score returned | -3 |
