FIERY FLATSTICKS: THE BEST PUTTERS OF THE SEASON SO FAR

With another month before the 2023 Ladies European Tour (LET) season resumes at the Jabra Ladies Open, let’s dive into the putting statistics and see who’s leading the way with the flatstick after six events.

Putts Per Round

India’s Aditi Ashok has made a flying start to 2023, winning the Magical Kenya Ladies Open emphatically before finishing third and second respectively at the Lalla Meryem Cup and Aramco Saudi Ladies International.

Helping to give her a strong early lead in the Race to Costa del Sol, Ashok says she’s been working tirelessly on her distance off the tee, revealing on the LET Golf Podcast, “I think I’ve hit more drives in the last two or three months than I have in my whole career!”

But aside from these ever-growing gains, Ashok’s putting has been the central factor behind her brilliant performances.

The Indian star currently leads the way in average Putts Per Round this season, averaging just 28.09 in the three tournaments she’s played in.

Narrowly behind her is South Africa’s Ashleigh Buhai on 28.57, a number boosted by her dominant victory at the Investec South African Women’s Open.

Ashleigh Buhai

In third place sits Denmark’s Amalie Leth-Nissen, with the rookie averaging 28.64 Putts Per Round through the five events she’s competed in.

Putts Per Greens In Regulation (GIR)

When reaching the dance floor in regulation, Ashok and Buhai are tied at the top with an impressive 1.68 Putts Per GIR.

Just behind the two recent LET winners is Belgium’s Manon De Roey on 1.73, an average aided by her third place finish at the Aramco Saudi Ladies International.

South Africa’s Nicola Garcia and Germany’s Chiara Noja are then in close company, with the pair both averaging 1.74 Putts Per GIR.

Putts Per Hole

Moving onto Putts Per Hole, and Ashok leads the charts impressively with an average of 1.56.

Mirroring Putts Per Round, Buhai is second on 1.59, while Leth-Nissen is tied with the Major winner on the same figure. The Dane’s best finish so far came at the Magical Kenya Ladies Open where she placed T7.
