First Round under way at The Evian Championship

The fifth and final Major of 2016, The Evian Championship, is under way on a wet and windy morning at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Evian-les-Bains, France.

The recent Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open winner, Isabelle Boineau from Marseille, pictured here with her caddie Alexi, had the honour of hitting the first tee shot from hole number one, while fellow Frenchwoman Joanna Klatten teed off first from the 10th hole.

The world number one and defending champion Lydia Ko starts from tee one at 1.20pm and she is playing with the 2014 champion Hyo Joo Kim, who shot the lowest score at a Major with a 61 that year, and the 2013 winner Suzann Pettersen.
