The final round of the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España is under way at La Quinta Resort in Malaga.
Anne Van Dam from Netherlands started at 12-under-par, with a four-stroke lead over the defending champion Azahara Muñoz of Spain.
Muñoz, who is looking to make history by winning her national title three years in succession, birdied the first two holes to get to 10-under-par, within two strokes of Van Dam.
The 2019 European Solheim Cup captain Catriona Matthew was four strokes back after three holes and Luna Sobron a stroke further behind after five.
Meanwhile, it’s an important day for the players attempting to keep their cards. Marta Sanz Barrio needs to finish 19th or better and Krista Bakker and Vani Kapoor are looking for top 50 finishes to leapfrog Jade Schaeffer-Calmels on the rankings in the final tournament of the year.
