The Ladies European Tour (LET) is back on the road this week after a small hiatus for the first of two weeks in Scotland.
It is the 22nd edition of the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open and the eighth since the event became co-sanctioned with the LPGA Tour.
The tournament will see a 72-hole stroke play competition take place from 15-18 August at Dundonald Links with a cut to the top 65 players and ties following 36 holes.
In 2024, there are 403 members of the LET from 44 different nations and this week, there are 144 players from 30 nations teeing it up.
France’s Celine Boutier comes into the week as defending champion having recorded a two-stroke victory here in 2023.
Boutier is one of six former champions in the field with Japan’s Ayake Furue, Americans Ryann O’Toole and Stacy Lewis, Thailand’s Ariya Jutanugarn and Korea’s Mi Hyang Lee.
Two Olympic medallists from Paris 2024 are in town with newly crowned Olympic champion Lydia Ko of New Zealand and silver medallist Esther Henseleit of Germany.
There are three players from Scotland with Gemma Dryburgh, Kylie Henry and Laura Beveridge all playing on home soil.
Meanwhile, of the 144 professionals in the field, there are 63 LET winners who have a combined total of 142 LET victories between them and 16 LET winners from the 2024 season.
