FIELD BREAKDOWN: 2024 DORMY OPEN HELSINGBORG

The Ladies European Tour (LET) is back in Sweden for the first of two events with this week’s Dormy Open Helsingborg.

It is the fifth edition of the tournament on the LET schedule and the second since it returned to the calendar in 2023 with Allerum Golf Club hosting once again.

A field of 132 players from 33 nations will be teeing it up in a 54-hole stroke play competition with a cut to the top-60 professionals and ties after the second round.

The field is made up of 11 invites alongside 121 LET players from several different exemption categories.

Sweden’s Lisa Pettersson is the defending champion having secured a one-shot victory over Spain’s Ana Peláez Trivino here last year.

Four winners from the 2024 LET season will be vying to add another title with Singapore’s Shannon Tan (Magical Kenya Ladies Open), England’s Bronte Law (Lalla Meryem Cup), Switzerland’s Chiara Tamburlini (Joburg Ladies Open) and Belgium’s Manon De Roey (Investec SA Women’s Open) all in town.

There are 24 Swedes in the field this week including Jessica Karlsson, who is returning from injury and Ellinor Sudow who is from Helsingborg.

PING Junior Solheim Cup winners Helen Briem, Meja Örtengren and Nora Sundberg will also all be teeing it up this week.

There are 14 LET rookies in the field including Tamburlini, who leads the Rookie of the Year standings.

While of the 132 players in the field, there are 33 LET winners who have won a combined total of 62 LET titles.
