The field is set, and the stars are ready for the start of the Women’s NSW Open tomorrow at Queanbeyan Golf Club.
Despite the inclement conditions which caused a premature halt to the Pro-Am this morning, the course is in fantastic condition and will prove to be a real test for the 140-strong field.
Players were still out on the course late this afternoon doing final prep work on their game and ensuring they know the rolling layout of Queanbeyan Golf Club as well as they can.
LET rookie Astha Madan was out finalising her preparations alongside some of the ALPG members Grace Lennon, Tahnia Ravnjak, and Jenna Hunter. The Indian representative liked what she saw.
“The course is amazing; it’s in great condition. The people are great, they are super-welcoming, and I’m excited for a great weekend,” Madan smiled.
Tahnia Ravnjak, fresh from her win yesterday at Moss Vale, was equally as enthusiastic for the tournament to get underway.
“I’m really excited to play in my home State open, and ready to test myself against the world’s best. I’m in form; I’m ready to go.”
“It’s going to be good fun,” added Grace Lennon. “It’s a beautiful golf course.”
Jenna Hunter said she was thrilled to be playing against so many good players. “It’s going to be great to test my game against theirs, it’s a really nice golf course, and I’m looking forward to getting out there,” she said.
The Women’s NSW Open presented by Worrells gets underway tomorrow at 7.30am.
