The Evian Masters presented by Société Générale organisation has announced the final six of 10 wild cards for this year’s tournament taking place from Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th July in France.
The six players announced by the Evian Masters Board are as follows:
Danielle Kang – USA – Pro 2012 – 19 years
An impressive amateur, Danielle Kang won the US Women’s Amateur two years in a row in 2010 and 2011. She joined the LPGA Tour this year.

Cheyenne Woods – USA – Pro 2012 – 21 years
The niece of the great Tiger Woods, Cheyenne has just graduated from Wake Forest University and turned pro in April. In 2012, she has already played in the LPGA Championship and the US Women’s Open.
Trish Johnson – England – Pro since 1987 – 46 years
A life member of the Ladies European Tour, Trish Johnson is one of the all-time greats of women’s golf. Devoted to the Evian Masters for several years, she continues to compete at the highest level, most recently winning twice in Tenerife and France in 2010.
Gwladys Nocera – France – Pro since 2002 – 37 years
With three Solheim Cup appearances and 10 wins on the LET, where she won the Money List in 2008, Gwladys is a regular competitor on the LET and at the Evian Masters.

Sophie Giquel-Bettan – France – Pro since 2003 – 30 years
With three Top-10s on the 2012 Ladies European Tour already, the 2007 Open de Portugal champion Sophie Giquel-Bettan promises to provide some great moments in the Evian Masters.
Caroline Afonso – France – Pro since 2007 – 27 years
The Number 1 French amateur in 2007, Caroline Alfonso joined the LET in 2008 and had four top-10s in 2011 including a second place finish in Austria. She also took part in last year’s Evian Masters.

The six players join four already announced as follows:
Anaïse Maggetti (Switzerland, 21 years)
Sharmila Nicollet (India, 21 years)
Xiyu Lin (China, 16 years) – First player to have played in the Evian Masters Juniors Cup (in
2009 and also compete in the Evian Masters).
Li Jiayun (China, 23 years)
The tournament field includes players from 20 different nations with six French players: Jade Schaeffer, Anne Lise Caudal, Karine Icher, Gwladys Nocera, Sophie Giquel-Bettan and Caroline Afonso.
China is in the spotlight this year, with four players at the Evian Masters: ShanShan Feng (No. 4 on the Rolex World Rankings), Li Ying Ye, Xiyu Lin and Li Jiayun.
General information:
There will be a field 111 players. The final field of players will be available after the Rolex Rankings are published on 16th July 2012.
The total prize money is 3,250,000 US dollars.
The 2012 course measures 5,904 metres / 6,457 yards and is a Par 72.
Format of play is 72 holes stroke play. 18 holes per day with a cut after 36 holes.
The leading 70 players and those tied will make the cut. In case of a tie after 72 holes of the tournament, the leading players will be decided by a “sudden death” play-off.
