The Evian Championship organisation committee has awarded its fourth and final wildcard to amateur Agathe Laisné, 16, from France. The n°1 French amateur (U16) is also expected to play in this year’s PING Junior Solheim Cup, taking place the following week at St Leon-Rot in Germany.
The next PING Junior Solheim Cup Ranking update will take place Aug 14 following the Girls British Open Championship at West Kilbride GC, Scotland, Aug 10-14. The European Team will be selected by Aug 17.
The Evian Championship invited Agathe Laisné in line with its policy of supporting young talent and aiding the emergence of the champions of tomorrow. She will join fellow invitees Leona Maguire from Ireland, Albane Valenzuela from Switzerland and Mathilda Cappeliez from France.
