To celebrate Women’s Sport Week the Ladies European Tour teamed up with the Manchester City Women’s Football Club to take part in the inaugural Etihad Cross Sport Challenge.
The Etihad Cross Sport Challenge consisted of each of our sports, golf and football, having two teams of three players competing across three challenges. The Ladies European Tour team featured Mel Reid, Carly Booth and Rosie Davies and they went up against Manchester City Women’s and England stars Steph Houghton MBE, Toni Duggan and Karen Bardsley.
All six professional athletes tried out each other sports, whilst demonstrating the quality and professionalism of their own respective sports. Manchester City Women’s team won the first challenge “Football Golf” and the Ladies European Tour levelled the scores following the “Closest to the Pin” challenge.
