Women golfing stars of the future will return to Stoke by Nayland next week from Thursday 16th to Saturday 18th October to contest the WPGA International Challenge – and the event is preceded by a star studded Pro Am on Wednesday 15th October. Among the celebrities playing will be actress and Magic FM Radio host Denise Van Outen, TV presenter Zoe Hardman, and former Westlife singer Brian McFadden. Stewart White from BBC Look East and Jim Rice from Anglia ITV will also be participating. The Pro Am will begin with a shot gun start at 11am.
Spectators are welcome to come and watch both the Pro Am and 3 day event. Entry is free of charge. Hannah Ralph won the inaugural tournament here last year and will be returning to defend her title, and organisers expect another strong field with a prize fund of €30,000 at stake in the tournament which will be staged on the championship Gainsborough Course at the family owned, award-winning Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa.
