DATE ANNOUNCED FOR 2026 SOLHEIM CUP AT BERNARDUS GOLF

The date for the 2026 Solheim Cup, taking place at Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt, close to Eindhoven and the historic city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands, is confirmed as September 7-13, 2026.

In what will be the 20th edition of the Solheim Cup following this week’s match at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia, USA, preparations are already underway for the next European instalment to be held at Bernardus Golf.

Bernardus is conveniently accessible by train, just over an hour’s journey (65 miles) from Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam Central, and only 20 miles from Eindhoven Airport. Designed by renowned American golf course architect Kyle Phillips, the acclaimed championship course at Bernardus is a heathland design featuring challenging water hazards and a compact layout. Open to everyone through a day membership, it focuses on providing an exceptional experience and enjoyment. The only rule is ‘there are no rules’—it’s a place to unwind, play a world-class course with top-tier practice facilities, and enjoy the off-course offerings, including an architecturally stunning clubhouse with a Michelin-star restaurant, spa, and lodge accommodations.

Since its opening in 2018, Bernardus has hosted three editions of the KLM Dutch Open on the DP World Tour (2021-2023) and is ready and well positioned to provide a spectacular stage for the Solheim Cup 2026. As one of the premier events in women’s sports, spectators can look forward to an exceptional experience where sports, entertainment, and hospitality blend seamlessly at the highest level.

Robert van der Wallen, the owner of Bernardus commented: “With the date set, we are full speed ahead with our preparations to welcome this great event to Bernardus for the 20th edition in 2026. We have enjoyed experiencing our first U.S. Solheim Cup edition this week at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club and our team will take all the experience garnered there, as well as from our visit to Finca Cortesin in 2023, to ensure we deliver what we aim to be the best European edition to date.”

The last European edition in 2023 took place in Spain at Finca Cortesin, ending with a dramatic 14-14 tie with Europe retaining the Solheim Cup.

This will be the first edition run in partnership with IMG who were appointed by the LET as the delivery partner of the European Solheim Cup for an initial commitment from 2026 through to the end of 2038.

Together the NGF, Bernardus, the LET and IMG aim to deliver a world-class Solheim Cup in 2026 that creates a benchmark in women’s sports events, leaving a long-term positive legacy for Bernardus, Dutch golf, the Netherlands and local community.

The appointment of IMG came on the back of delivering the successful 2019 Solheim Cup in partnership with Visit Scotland seeing over 90,000 spectators attend the match at Gleneagles and millions watching the broadcast around the world.
