CREEKHOUSE LADIES OPEN POSTPONED TO 2021

The Ladies European Tour and Creekhouse Management today confirmed the postponement of the Creekhouse Ladies Open until 2021 due to the ongoing situation in relation to Coronavirus (COVID-19).

For the organisers, it is important that the Creekhouse Ladies Open offers an event experience that goes beyond golf, both for the local community and for guests from all over the world to the waterfront summer town.

The decision to postpone the tournament at Kristianstads Golf Club in Åhus has therefore been made to honour the organisers’ commitment to delivering an exceptional new event for all stakeholders, with the new date set to June 3-6, 2021.

Pelle Krüger, Managing Director of Creekhouse Management, said: “Since the beginning we’ve been committed to deliver a great LET event for players and all parties involved. This will still happen but unfortunately not in September given the current situation and its unknown development. To leave us a chance to provide a tournament much closer to the way we all originally aimed for, we together with LET and partners think it best for all involved to postpone the event into the early part of the 2021 schedule.”

Alexandra Armas, Chief Executive Officer of the Ladies European Tour, said: “Not playing the Creekhouse Ladies Open this year is disappointing, but we all want the LET’s return to Sweden to be a great success and we are thrilled that our partners at Creekhouse Management are so dedicated to our athletes and securing the long-term future of the event. We are all excited about 2021 and look forward to visiting Kristianstads Golf Club next summer, continuing a tradition of great Swedish championships whilst giving back to the local community and creating a vibrant, celebratory atmosphere for everyone involved.”
