Gabriella Cowley loves playing at the Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed calling it one of her favourite events.
The co-sanctioned event between the DP World Tour and the LET will see 78 men and 78 women playing in the same groups for one prize fund and one trophy.
Having played in every edition of the tournament, the Englishwoman only missed the cut in her first appearance.
Since then, Cowley has improved year on year finishing in a tie for 15th place in 2022 and a share of fifth place in 2023.
The 28-year-old was the second-best female in 2023 after finishing in a share of fifth place at Ullna Golf Club.
“It’s one of my favourite events, I’m grateful to be here,” said Cowley. “A couple of my friends play on DP World Tour, it’s good to see them and hang out with them and just see what the guys are up to.
“Seeing how they practise and what they do differently. It’s quite a good week to try and learn as much as we can. It’s similar to the last couple of years, but it’s nice to see the boys and notice how they stick to their routines and how direct it is.”
Cowley has had a good season to date finishing in a share of second place at the Investec SA Women’s Open and in third place at the Amundi German Masters.
As such, the English star sits in eighth place in the LET Order of Merit and is hoping for a good week at Vasatorps Golfklubb.
She added: “The course is great. It’s always a tough job to set it up against the guys, but for us girls it’s playing great.
“I struggled a little bit last week, in general my game is feeling good and I’m swinging it well. I will just keep doing what I’m doing and I’m sure my time will come soon.”
