| The European Team of 2005 |
The leading seven players on the Points Table following the Girls’ British Open Championship will be selected for the European Team automatically and five players will be chosen as Captain’s Picks. When deciding their picks, the Captains will take into consideration a player’s performance in all girls’ and ladies’ amateur events.
At the conclusion of the Spanish International Ladies Amateur Championship, the European ranking is as follows:
1. Nicola Roessler, Germany – 90 points
2. Caroline Masson, Germany – 60 points
3. Anna Dahlström-Söderberg, Sweden – 35 points
3. Emilie Alonso, France – 35 points
3. Carlota Ciganda, Spain – 35 points
6. Marta Silva, Spain – 20 points
6. Ane Urchegui, Spain – 20 points
6. Mireia Prat, Spain – 20 points
Masson, Ciganda and Silva all participated in the 2005 PING Junior Solheim Cup at The Bridgewater Club in Indianapolis and all three are eager to represent Europe again, this year on their home continent.
