Chiara Tamburlini

Switzerland’s Chiara Tamburlini was named Players’ Player of the Year at the Ladies European Tour (LET) End of Season awards to take home a hat-trick of trophies.

The Swiss star finished the year with 2,718.44 points winning the Order of Merit by 502.23 points and the Rookie of the Year by 1274.73 points and becoming the seventh player to win both titles in the same season.

Tamburlini added another trophy to her ever-growing collection after being voted Players’ Player of the Year for the 2024 season. LET Members were given the chance to vote for their Player of the Year over the final few weeks of the season with the winner revealed in Spain.

The Players’ Player of the Year recognises a player who is a role model for current and aspiring LET players, both inside and outside the ropes. Their overall enthusiasm and achievement has inspired others to take up golf and strive to achieve their goals.

The Swiss star graduated from the LET Access Series (LETAS) in 2023 and won three times on Tour this year with victories at the Joburg Ladies Open, Lacoste Ladies Open de France and Wistron Ladies Open – Taiwan.

Tamburlini said: “I want to say thank you to my fellow LET members for voting me as Players’ Player of the Year. Ever since I started in Kenya, everybody has been so incredibly welcoming, and I have enjoyed every minute on the golf course having such incredible people around me. I feel I’ve made so many incredible friends this year and I can’t wait until next year. I’m very proud to have this trophy with me.”

Alexandra Armas, CEO of the LET, said: “I want to congratulate Chiara on becoming the seventh player to win both the Order of Merit and the Rookie of the Year titles. To also be voted as Players’ Player of the Year and recognised by your peers is a great achievement and Chiara has proved to be a role model on and off the golf course.

“Chiara is a deserving winner, and we were delighted to present her with the awards. It takes grit and determination to succeed in your rookie season. Chiara has shown what is possible graduating from the LET Access Series, winning three times on the LET in her first year, and climbing into the top 75 in the Rolex Rankings and these titles are further rewards for the hard work she has put in to become a champion.”
