Brooke Henderson wins season's second Major

Canadian teenager Brooke Henderson has won the second Major of 2016: the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Wash.

Aged 18 years, 9 months, 2 days, Henderson became the second youngest woman to win a major championship trailing only Lydia Ko who won the 2015 Evian Championship at 18 years, 4 months, 20 days before collecting her second Major at the ANA Inspiration title in April.

This was Henderson’s second LPGA victory following the 2015 Cambia Portland Classic and she moved from fourth to second on the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, having been 70th in the world a year ago.

Henderson is the second Canadian to win a major (Sandra Post won the LPGA Championship in 1968) and she won on her ninth Major start overall.
