BENNETT LOOKING FORWARD TO REST OF LET SEASON AFTER BEST-EVER RESULT

Kelsey Bennett

Kelsey Bennett is raring to go for the rest of the 2025 Ladies European Tour (LET) season after back-to-back top-10 finishes in South Africa.

The Australian secured full playing rights on the LET at Lalla Aicha Q-School in December finishing in T19 in Morocco.

For the start of the season, Bennett decided to remain Down Under and play on the WPGA Tour of Australasia starting her LET season with the co-sanctioned events.

However, after finishing T41 at the Australian Women’s Classic and missing the cut at the Ford Women’s NSW Open, the 25-year-old knew she needed to improve in the South African events.

And that was exactly what the LETAS winner did with a T8 finish at the Joburg Ladies Open before a best-ever result on the LET of T3 at the Investec South African Women’s Open.

“I really enjoyed South Africa and playing good golf helps with that,” she said. “I just minimised the bad this week.

“Then I made the most of the par-5s, as they weren’t overly long. My wedge game was good and that gave me plenty of opportunities for birdies.”

Bennett produced rounds of 69-68-73 and a stunning 67 (-5) on the final day at Erinvale Country and Golf Estate to be in a share of third place on 11-under-par alongside England’s Bronte Law.

In the 2025 LET Order of Merit, the Mollymook player has jumped up to 16th place and is hoping to keep the momentum going.

She continued: “The Australian swing wasn’t as good as I would have liked it to have been, but I feel like I bounced back in South Africa. My goal is to be in the current top 20 in the Order of Merit to get into the AIG Women’s Open this year.

“I’m heading home to Aus before Korea to keep working on my game and also have some downtime with family and friends before a massive season on the road starts.

“I’m very much looking forward to the European season, I’ve absolutely loved it the last two years and to be able to have a full season on LET is definitely something special and I can’t wait.”
