Former United States President Barack Obama made a visit to the first tee on Friday afternoon at the Solheim Cup to cheer on the U.S. team and he also met European captain Suzann Pettersen and members of her team.

The 44th President of the United States is a huge golf fan and has been a member of Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia since 2017, coincidentally the year when the USA last won the Solheim Cup.
He met the United States team on Monday in the US capital, Washington D.C. before they went on to receive a tour of the Pentagon.
Beth Daniel’s successful United States team from 2009 met the then POTUS in 2010, before Juli Inkster’s victorious 2015 side met him once more.
