Kirsten Rudgeley and Kelsey Bennett ended their 2025 Ladies European Tour (LET) seasons by equalling their best-ever results in Spain.
The Australian duo competed in the LET season finale – the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España held at Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf in Malaga.
Rudgeley was solid throughout the four days of action producing rounds of 70-69-68-69 to finish in solo second place with a total of 12-under-par.
“It was amazing, it was a good week,” said Rudgeley. “The golf course was amazing. Everyone is in the same boat, and we have all earned our spot to be here. It’s nice to finish on a good finish, it will make the flight a bit more comfortable. It’s nice ready for the off-season.
“This golf course has definitely got a few holes where you can lose shots and unfortunately that happened for me, but I played nicely all day and played well all week. It’s nice to see the game trending in the right direction.
“I definitely want Christmas! I’m ready to go home and put the sticks away and enjoy the Aussie summer.”
Meanwhile, Bennett had an excellent weekend in Spain recording rounds of 72-71-68-66 to climb up the leaderboard and end the week in T3.
“I haven’t played here before,” said Bennett. “I started off a bit rocky but came good towards the end there, which was nice. Today was super solid and I actually holed some putts, so it was good.
“It’s been an unreal season. I feel like I’ve worked my way up on the LET each year. To be able to finish on a high and have Christmas at home and not get back from Q-School the day before is going to be really special. I can’t wait for next year to keep going.
“A highlight was my hole-in-one from China and just getting top-10s and top-5s. It’s been nice to play consistently solid golf for most of the year.
“Securing my LET card for next year has given me the chance to have an off-season as I won’t have to play all the WPGA events, as much as I will miss them, but I can choose what to play before the LET season starts.”
