ARWEFJÄLL LEADS ROOKIE OF THE YEAR STANDINGS

Sweden’s Kajsa Arwefjäll sits atop the 2025 Rookie of the Year standings after the first two Ladies European Tour (LET) events of the season.

The Swede graduated from the LET Access Series at the end of 2024 winning both the Order of Merit and Rookie of the Year titles.

Arwefjäll, who made her professional debut on the LET in Sweden in June last year, teed it up in the first event in Morocco.

Rounds of 68-75-71 at the Lalla Meryem Cup saw the 24-year-old start the year with a T8 finish at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam.

Arwefjäll now leads the Rookie of the Year rankings with 69 points to her name ahead of USA’s Brianna Navarrosa.

The 22-year-old American secured a T16 finish in Morocco and played at the PIF Saudi Ladies International thanks to a sponsor invitation.

Navarrosa carded rounds of 68-69-78 to end the week in a share of 47th place and move up to second in the standings with 55.75 points.

India’s Avani Prashanth is in third place with 48 points after also finishing in a tie for 16th place at the season-opener in Morocco.

Spain’s Blanca Fernandez is fourth with 40 points and England’s Mimi Rhodes is fifth with 36.50 points.

Close behind is Lalla Aicha Q-School winner Daniela Darquea of Ecuador and Ireland’s Sara Byrne – both on 32 points after T24 finishes in Morocco.

Next up for the LET is a trip to Australia with the first of three events – the Australian WPGA Championship – taking place from March 6-9 at Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club.
