April Player of the Month shortlist

Mimi Rhodes (England)

Wins: 1

It was an amazing spring for Mimi Rhodes as the rookie secured back-to-back titles on the LET winning the Ford Women’s NSW Open and Joburg Ladies Open. The English star won March’s Player of the Month award following her maiden victory in Australia before taking the title in Johannesburg.

Expert opinion: “It was a life-changing trip to the southern hemisphere for the Somerset rookie, as she backed up her win at the Ford Women’s NSW Open with a win at the Joburg Ladies Open. Mimi is now top of the Rookie of the Year and Order of Merit – what a start to 2025 it’s been for the Wake Forest graduate.”

Casandra Alexander (South Africa)

Top-10s: 2

Home star Casandra Alexander had a month to remember in South Africa as she recorded back-to-back runner-up finishes in the co-sanctioned events between the Sunshine Ladies Tour (SLT) and the LET. The 25-year-old moved into the top 100 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, is third on the LET Order of Merit and won the Investec Order of Merit on the SLT.

Expert opinion: “Casandra became the SLT Order of Merit winner in April, thanks to consecutive second places at the Joburg Ladies Open and Investec SA Women’s Open. The 25-year-old signed off in her homeland with a stunning 66 and with this form, the big-hitting South African will be looking to capture her maiden win on the LET this season.”

Perrine Delacour (France)

Wins: 1

France’s Perrine Delacour captured her second LET title in April winning the Investec South African Women’s Open by two strokes in Cape Town. The 31-year-old produced rounds of 65-69-70-70 to secure her second LET victory 11 months after she won the Dormy Open Helsingborg.

Expert opinion: “Five events into the new season and Perrine had been having her struggles but she can put all of that behind her having won the Investec SA Women’s Open. The Frenchwoman has already experienced the highs and lows of life on Tour. She was amongst the leaders all week at Erinvale and despite a slow start to the final round, she proved once again she’s a champion.”

Kelsey Bennett (Australia)

Top-10s: 2

It was an excellent two weeks in South Africa for Kelsey Bennett as she recorded back-to-back top-10 finishes on the LET. After a T8 finish at the Joburg Ladies Open, the 25-year-old then produced her best-ever finish on the LET with a T3 finish at Erinvale Country and Golf Estate.

Expert opinion: “Kelsey warmed up for her season at the start of the year with some really good displays on her home tour back in Australia, but when the LET arrived Down Under she didn’t live up to expectations with finishes of 41st and a missed cut. But the Q-School graduate bounced back spectacularly in April with T8 in Joburg and then her best-ever finish on the LET with T3 where she was amongst the contenders and closed with a 67.”
