Players enjoy rest and relaxation in Sunny Bay, Sanya
Ladies European Tour members Neha Tripathi and Cajsa Persson joined China LPGA members Rueyue Liang, Xing E Wang and Ruixin Liu for some rest and relaxation in Sunny Bay on the eve of the Sanya Ladies Open.
The longest running LET event in China, which has been held consecutively at Yalong Bay Golf Club for eight years, has become a firm favourite with the players, officials and media from around the world, with tremendous local resort facilities, blue skies and sandy beaches in an unparalleled golf holiday destination.
Owned by Yalong Bay Golf Development (Holding) Ltd and managed by Seven Ray Golf Management Co. Ltd, Yalong Bay Golf Club was designed and built by Robert Trent Jones Design Company in accordance with PGA standards. Since its inception in 2000, the club has hosted 17 professional tournaments in 17 years, including the Sanya Open in 2003, 2004 and 2006, Volkswagen China Masters in 2006, Crowne Plaza Open in 2006, TCL Classic in 2005, 2006 and 2007 as well as the Sanya Ladies Open since 2010.
Sanya is famous for its abundant golf courses and warm hospitality as a leading tourism zone in China. The tournament plays a leading role in showcasing China’s progress and the host city Sanya’s wider international influence and standards.
