The Lacoste Ladies Open de France is an important event on the Ladies European Tour. It is the 19th stop of 24 tournaments on the 2014 LET schedule, 12 of which are played in Europe. The Lacoste Ladies French Open attracts 78 of the best European female golfers.
An official event, The Lacoste Ladies French Open is sanctioned by the LET Order of Merit, the official annual ranking of the Ladies European Tour. Every golfer with a LET card may enter the tournament.
Format
78 players, including 13 invitees.
72 holes stroke play, four rounds of 18 holes.
Cut after the completion of 36 holes, the leading 50 players plus ties (amateurs not included) will advance to the last two rounds.
The player with the lowest aggregate score after four rounds wins the tournament.
In case of a tie after four rounds, the winner will be decided by a hole-by-hole sudden death play off.
Tee times
On Thursday 2 and Friday 3 October, players will tee off every ten minutes from hole No. 1 in groups of three, with the first tee time scheduled at 8.45 a.m.
After the cut, on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October, players will tee off from hole No. 1 in groups of two, depending on the number of players making the cut. The leaders will tee off last, at around 1 p.m.
Prize money
The total purse amounts €250,000. Earnings are distributed according to the following breakdown chart.
