- Carlota Ciganda and Azahara Muñoz will lead the Spanish contingent from 27 to 30 November at the Real Guadalhorce Golf Club
- Three elite amateurs ready to compete for the Celia Barquín Award in the Ladies European Tour Grand Final
The Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho 2025 will bring together a stellar line-up of Spanish players from 27 to 30 November, led by two of the continent’s leading golfers: Carlota Ciganda and Azahara Muñoz. Both arrive with two titles under their belts and the opportunity to become the first three-time champion in the history of the Open, a milestone that adds excitement and anticipation to the grand finale of the Ladies European Tour (LET). Ciganda will defend the title she won in 2024 at the Real Guadalhorce Golf Club itself, while Azahara returns to Malaga with the ambition of shining once again in front of her fans.
Alongside them will be a group of thirteen Spanish players who bring experience, talent and competitive depth. Among them are players with LET victories such as Nuria Iturrioz (winner this year at the Aramco Houston Championship), Ana Peláez, Marta Martín and María Hernández, as well as established players such as Luna Sobrón, Blanca Fernández, Teresa Toscano, Harang Lee, Amaia Latorre and Marta Sanz. Together, they form a compact and competitive team that aspires to play a prominent role in the closing stages of the European season.
Completing the Spanish contingent is a trio of top-level amateurs: Paula Martín (No. 2 in the world amateur rankings and this year’s British Amateur champion), Andrea Revuelta (No. 3 in the world amateur rankings and fifth in the 2024 Open) and Adriana García Terol (reigning Spanish Absolute champion). The three will compete for the Celia Barquín Award, which recognises the best amateur in the Open and has established itself as a key accolade for the new generations of Spanish golf. Their presence guarantees a battle of the highest level and highlights the prominence of the national talent pool.
The Real Guadalhorce Golf Club will host the LET Grand Final for the second consecutive year following the organisational and sporting success of 2024. The technical and demanding Malaga course will once again be the ideal setting for a championship marked by equality and the presence of some of the best players on the continent.
With two stars aiming to make history, a large group of Spanish players in their competitive prime and three amateurs set to lead the future of national golf, the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho 2025 promises a thrilling week in a setting that is already a benchmark on the European circuit.
