Laura Davies successfully managed the Players and Caddies team to victory over the Evian Championship team in the annual charity football match at the Camille Fournier Stadium in Evian-les-Bains on Thursday night, but once again, the ELA charity was the winner, as 10,000 euros was raised!
The stars of the Evian team included French 1998 World Cup winners Bixente Lizarazu and Alain Borghossain, singers Gregoire and Thibaut Gaudillat and actors Samir Boitard and Aurelien Wiik.
Ahead of the game, a minute’s silence was held for caddie Gerald Adams, who passed away in April. The match was always one of the highlights of his year and he often recounted his experience of tackling and playing against Zinedine Zidane.
