Parker and Boineau targeting The Queens presented by Kowa

Florentyna Parker and Isabelle Boineau have both spoken of how qualifying for the Ladies European Tour Team for The Queens presented by Kowa, taking place at Miyoshi Golf Club in Nagoya, Japan, on December 2-4, is a major source of motivation.

Parker, who is ranked seventh on the LET Order of Merit following a fifth place finish in the Andalucia Costa del Sol Open de Espana Femenino, said: “I want to confirm my place on The Queens team and I think I’ve done it with this top five position.”

Boineau, meanwhile, who won the 2016 Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open in July and tied for 18th in Spain, commented: “My goal is to finish top three, top five on the Order of Merit and play in The Queens presented by Kowa. I really want to play in that because since I played as a pro I have not had the opportunity to play as a team and I love Japan so I think it will be fun.”

Following on from the inaugural edition in 2015, England’s Trish Johnson will lead a team of nine LET players in this year’s event, which will once again be contested between four of the world’s leading women’s golf tours: the LPGA of Japan (JLPGA), Korean LPGA (KLPGA), the Ladies European Tour (LET) and Australian Ladies’ Professional Golf (ALPG) over three days of foursomes, fourball and singles match play.
