The final round of the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España Femenino is under way in perfect golfing weather at Aloha Golf Club in Marbella, where American Beth Allen started the day at nine-under-par with a one shot lead over local star Azahara Muñoz.
The first woman to represent Spain in the recent Olympic golf competition in Rio de Janeiro, Muñoz is bidding to become the first Spanish winner of her national title and claim her fourth Ladies European Tour trophy.
Allen is looking for her second victory on the LET following last year’s ISPS HANDA Ladies European Masters triumph and made a strong start when she birdied the first hole to establish a two stroke cushion on 10-under-par.
