This year the Evian Championship developed its sports policy with the launch of two new international qualifying competitions in the USA and Korea in addition to the original European qualifier at Evian Resort Golf Club in France.
After Maria Verchenova from Russia and Nanna Koerstz Madsen of Denmark qualified over the tournament course on 1st May, Laura Gonzalez Escallon and Ally McDonald were successful at the US Qualifiers through the Symetra Tour in late July and Joohyun Ji, 24, qualified through the Korean LPGA 2016 Activia Dream Tour.
