LET announces Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open 2006

“We are proud that, as a long-standing partner and title sponsor on the PGA European Tour and the US PGA Tour in men’s golf, we are now able to lend our name and support to a tournament on the Ladies European Tour for the first time. Becoming title sponsor and a partner of European women’s golf from 2006 onwards means that we’ve come full circle within our worldwide commitment to golf,”

Salvatore Pinoja, President of Golf Gerre Losone, was delighted to be hosting the event and stated:

“To host the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open in 2006 will be a great pleasure and very important, not only for our course but for all Switzerland, and for the beautiful area of Ticino in particular, already known and loved by many tourists with its picturesque landscape, lakes, colourful vegetation, excellent food and friendly inhabitants. We are all very proud to have this opportunity and will use every effort to ensure that the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open becomes a most prestigious and successful event.”

Fairway Marketing have been appointed as the event promoter after their long history of promoting professional golf events on the PGA European Tour since 1992.

Fairway Marketing also promotes and organises more than 50 amateur events each year for customers including Deutsche Bank, Burda, Tchibo and other major brands.

The LET last visited Switzerland in 1997 when the legendary Marie-Laure de Lorenzi from France emerged victorious at the Déesse Ladies Swiss Open at Golf Club de Lausanne beside Lac Leman.
