Shootout Today at Royal Canberra!

The excitement of tournament week is here as players from more than 31 countries have been arriving at Royal Canberra Golf Club for the ActewAGL Canberra Classic, which tees off on Friday.

An exciting Nation V Nation Shootout will take place on the 18^th hole from 4pm today, which will see some of the best players in the world go head to head in a fun Nearest The Pin and Long Drive competition. Arrive early to watch some amazing golf, with some of the biggest hitters on display. What a way to warm up for the week ahead. It will be a bit of fun and is free for all to attend.

The 22 teams below will be split into 11 groups, pitted against each other. Each side will compete in a long drive and a nearest to the pin competition. Only one player from each team will hit a long drive and the other will hit the nearest to the pin. A team score will be decided using a points system.

From the 11 teams on each side, five teams will continue to the second round, who will compete again with a long drive and nearest to the pin.

One team from each side will then proceed into a head to head final round where they will each hit three balls in the long drive competition and three balls in the nearest the pin to be declared the winning team.
