Spilková inspiring next generation in Dubai

Top Czech golfer Klára Spilková paid a visit to Greenfield Community School ahead of the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters.

Along with Butch Reynolds, an American former track and field athlete who held the world record in the 400 meter dash for 11 years with a personal best time of 43.29 seconds, Spilková inspired local children to play more sport and follow a healthy lifestyle.

Spilková, who will turn 21 next week, is a pioneer for the sport in her home country where she was the best amateur player in Czech history. After winning several international titles, she became the youngest ever player to qualify for the Ladies European Tour when she passed through Qualifying School aged 15, just before her 16th birthday. She is inspiring girls from Eastern Europe and beyond to find success through sport.
