Local player Annabel Dimmock ready for the Buckinghamshire

Ladies European Tour rookie professional Annabel Dimmock hopes to have a good week at the ISPS HANDA Ladies European Masters at the Buckinghamshire, a course almost on her own doorstep.

The No. 1 ranked female amateur golfer in Great Britain and Ireland in 2014 finished 27th in the event as an amateur last year. She turned professional in February and is now hoping to do even better.

“I’m really looking forward to playing in the ISPS HANDA Ladies European Masters. Being local, a lot of my friends and family are coming and hopefully I’ll have a lot of support,” said Dimmock, 18, from Denham.

“I definitely feel my game is there. I’ve done a lot of swing changes and everything is coming together. I’m really excited but I’m still learning so we’ll see.

“I think a lot of the players know the course well now. The greens are lovely. I don’t have any expectations but I’d like to do well in front of my friends and family.”

As well as the world class golf, this year’s event has an impressive list of activities and entertainment for all the family to enjoy including a kids’ zone, free golf lessons and an artisan market.

Dimmock continued: “It’s such a great venue and last year everyone really enjoyed it. The weather is supposed to be really good so people should come along to enjoy a great four days in the sunshine.”

The tournament kicks off on Thursday, 2nd July, which will be Ladies’ Day with a whole host of activities and guest speakers in the tented village. Buy tickets now at http://tickets.sky.com/Golf/
