Hull back in the swing after changes

Rising English golf star Charley Hull has a new coach and a remodelled swing for the ISPS Handa New Zealand Women’s Open at Christchurch’s Clearwater course from Friday to Sunday.

The talented 18-year-old who turned professional in 2013 and was the Ladies European Tour (LET) Rookie of the Year continued her stellar progress last year when she gained her maiden win and topped the order or merit.

Six weeks ago she decided to change her coach and alter her swing. It is still a work in progress and Hull says she is more concerned about working on her swing at present rather than her scores.

She finished tied 11th in her first look at Clearwater last year in the co-sanctioned LET and APLG event and is expected to fare better on this occasion. She is in the marquee group with world No.1 Lydia Ko and former world amateur champion Su Oh from Australia.

Despite changing her swing and mentor, Hull has shown promising form Down Under with a second in the Australian Ladies Masters, won by Oh, and seventh last weekend at the Australian Open at Royal Melbourne.
