Did you know that 70% of the world’s beer is a copy of Pilsner Urquell, which was first brewed in Pilsen in 1842?
Pilsen is the St Andrews of beer and when in the city, visiting the brewery is a must, which is why the Ladies European Tour took a tour of the historical brew house and underground cellars during the Sberbank Golf Masters opening party on Wednesday.
Beer and history lovers alike explored the labyrinth of medieval halls, cellars and wells and tasted a glass of unfiltered and unpasteurised beer straight from an oak barrel.
