Krista got Exemption Category 8a after finishing tied for 19th at the Lalla Aicha Tour School Final Qualifying and winning the Pre-Qualifying in Rabat last December. Now, Krista has played in eight tournaments with her best finish a tie for ninth at the Deloitte Ladies Open in Holland and also ended in a share of 15th place at the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open. She is currently ranked seventh on the Rookie of the Year Rankings.Find full Rookie of the Year Rankings here

Where do you normally practice over the winter? I practice in Finland, indoors, with the Trackman, under artificial lights. I sometimes go to Spain to practice real golf.

What part of your game do you think it has changed the most since you joined the tour? I think my putting is better now, as I hit it more consistent.

Tell us about your travel experiences. The Finish girls normally travel together. The only anecdote that I can tell you is that travelling from Slovakia to Italy I slept one night in Vienna’s airport, just me… It was very comfortable (laughs!)

How did you imagine life on tour and the tour itself was going to be and what’s your opinion now? I knew that it was hard work, but I knew if I just played my own game, I would be top 10. It’s okay, I imagined it exactly the way it is.

How do you see yourself at the end of the season? Well, you never know, but maybe I see myself finishing within the top five in some tournaments and main thing is to keep my card for next season.

What are your plans this year after this event? I will play all the tournaments. In August, I will be practicing at home, in Finland.
