For many of today’s Ladies European Tour stars, the journey to professional golf began with a single decision: taking a chance on themselves.
This November, the next generation of talent will have the opportunity to do exactly that when the 2026 LET Qualifying School Pre-Qualifier Asia takes place at Lotus Valley Golf Club in Bangkok, Thailand, from 18-20 November 2026.
For ambitious amateur golfers with a World Handicap System Index of 2 or better and professional golfers dreaming of competing on the global stage, who are 18 years of age or older by 1 January 2027, LET Q School represents more than just a tournament. It is a gateway to professional golf, international travel, lifelong friendships and the chance to test yourself against some of the best players in the world.
According to several rising stars currently competing on the Ladies European Tour, it is an opportunity not to be missed.
A Tour That Helps You Grow
Thailand’s Trichat Cheenglab (pictured above) knows first-hand how transformative the LET experience can be.
“When I came here, I did not feel that I belonged on this tour, but the LET made me improve my golf game a lot,” said the 2023 Order of Merit winner and Rookie of the Year.
“When I met the LET staff and made friends, I met a lot of amazing people around the world. The friends here are very nice and I really enjoy being on this tour. I’m not just doing my job, but feel very happy to be here.”
That sense of personal and professional growth is a common theme among players who have made the transition from amateur golf to competing on a global stage.
Indian star Avani Prashanth believes the challenges of life on tour have helped shape both her golf and her character.
“The LET definitely shapes you as a golfer. Playing in Europe is one of the hardest places to play golf. It’s like a family on this tour, so everyone is very supportive.”
She added: “Being part of the LET has been helpful in shaping me as a person and as a golfer. We go to such great places, so I’m grateful for that. If you can play golf here, then you can play golf anywhere, in my opinion.”
Taking Your Game to the Next Level
One of the biggest attractions of the LET is the opportunity to compete against world-class players on championship venues across the globe.
Thailand’s April Angurasaranee says those experiences have been vital to her development.
“Getting to travel around the world is definitely the highlight. Secondly, getting to play in big events helps us to elevate our games.”
“You get to play on good courses, with good players and travel around the world.”
As women’s golf continues to become more competitive, players understand the importance of constantly improving.
“In recent years, there are so many good golfers coming up. You always have to push for better,” Angurasaranee explained. “In the past couple of years my game has definitely improved.”
Her advice to aspiring golfers is simple:
“I would definitely recommend it to the younger generation. The LET is a great tour. There are many great players, great courses and you get to play in lots of different conditions, so it’s a great tour to be on.”
Learning Through New Experiences
Singapore’s Shannon Tan has enjoyed rapid progress since joining the professional ranks and credits the LET for helping her grow both on and off the course.
“We’ve got a really good schedule on the LET and play in a lot of different continents and countries,” said the 2025 Order of Merit winner.
“It’s really good how much experience I’ve gained over the past three years on tour, learning a lot about myself and my game and making a lot of friends.”
Moving from Asia to compete regularly in Europe presented new challenges, but those experiences accelerated her development.
“The step from going from amateur to professional golf is big and coming from Asia, playing in Europe for the first time was different grass, conditions, wind and rain. It has been a good learning experience for me and I enjoy my time out here.”
For Tan, the relationships built on tour are equally important.
“Being part of the LET means a lot, not just on the golf side, but in the friendship side of things. I’ve made a lot of friends and we’ll be friends for a long time to come.”
Building Skills for the Future
Thailand’s Aunchisa Utama believes competing alongside elite professionals has pushed her to become a better athlete.
“On the LET, I get a lot of experience playing with good players. I have to practise more and rest more and do more workouts,” said the 2026 Dutch Ladies Open champion.
She also sees the Tour as an ideal environment for young players looking to develop.
“It’s quite hard to play on the LET and I think the younger generation should come because it will help them to develop their game.”
Meanwhile, Hong Kong’s Ginnie Ding highlighted the support systems available to players.
“There are so many benefits to playing on the LET. The player services are amazing, there is a packed schedule, up to gold standard. The people are great.”
“I’ve learned so much from the people here. They have pushed me to be a better person in general and be positive.”
Like many international players, Ding also values the friendships she has built while competing around the world.
“Being so far away from home, it’s great that I’ve made a great group of friends and I love being able to play in a different tournament each week. There’s so much to take from this amazing tour.”

For talented golfers across Asia Pacific and India, the path to the Ladies European Tour begins this November in Bangkok.
The 2026 LET Qualifying School Pre-Qualifier Asia will be held at Lotus Valley Golf Club, with practice rounds taking place on 16-17 November 2026 and competition rounds running from 18-20 November 2026.
Successful players will progress through the qualifying pathway at the Lalla Aicha Tour School Final Qualifier in Marrakech, Morocco, from 16-20 December, in pursuit of LET membership for the 2027 season.
