Thailand’s April Angurasaranee has won the first Player of the Month award for 2026 after being voted the winner for February.
The award, which was introduced in 2025, highlights and showcases the brilliant performances from our elite athletes seen on fairways across the globe.
Voted for by fans on the LET’s app and website, Angurasaranaee was shortlisted by commentators Richard Kaufman and Sophie Walker. The 21-year-old was nominated alongside England’s Charley Hull, France’s Agathe Laisne and South Africa’s Casandra Alexander.
The nominees were announced on Wednesday last week and voting concluded on Monday 9 March with Angurasaranee securing her first Player of the Month accolade.
February saw Angurasaranee finish in the top-25 at the LPGA Honda Thailand before recording a career-low LET round of 62, which included an ace, to end the week in a share of second place at the Ford Women’s NSW Open.
“Firstly, I have got to thank the fans for voting for me,” said the Thai star. “The support means so much – 2026 has started out really nicely for me!
“I played on the LPGA on home soil, which was one of the best experiences, and then continued my good form into the Ford Women’s NSW Open at Wollongong. There’s definitely a lot to look forward to in 2026 and hopefully, there’ll be many more great memories coming up.”
Angurasaranee follows in the footsteps of Jeeno Thitikul and Trichat Cheenglab, who triumphed in February and November 2025 respectively, in becoming the third Thai player to win award.
