SWAYNE CARRYING A LOT OF CONFIDENCE INTO 2026

Alexandra Swayne

Alexandra Swayne is full of confidence after securing her full playing rights on the Ladies European Tour (LET) at Lalla Aicha Q-School in December.

The 25-year-old, who represents the U.S. Virgin Islands, was back at Q-School after finishing 90th in the LET Order of Merit.

Swayne played in 19 LET events in 2025 with a highlight of finishing in a share of ninth place at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open.

In Morocco, she produced rounds of 72-66-67-70 to end the week with a score of 15-under-par and finish in third place on the leaderboard.

“It hasn’t quite settled in yet, I’m sure it will,” said Swayne at the end of Q-School. “Practicing on this golf course, I’ve been taking and looking at the course differently.

“I’m playing a lot better than I was last year. To make it again, I didn’t want to be in this position to start off, but I have a lot of confidence going into next year.”

It was a good week in Morocco for the U.S. Virgin Islander as she had some new clubs in her golf bag and having secured her card, she feels she can have fun on the course this season.

She explained: “I changed some equipment and this year I’ve felt quite sick. I’ve just felt extremely happy and extremely healthy this week. I put a new putter in the bag and new wedges. I feel very confident in my game overall.

“I just know I can go into the year not having to prove myself because I kind of did. I’m going to go and have fun and play some good golf because I know I can now.”

Looking ahead to the 2026 schedule, Swayne is excited to be teeing it up in the South African stretch and at the new tournament in Mauritius.

She added: “I love the South African events but we’re going to Mauritius, so that will be really fun and it’s right between my birthday, so I think I’m going to have some family come and we’ll make the most out of it. I like the European stretch.”
