PLAYERS HONOURED AT 2025 END OF SEASON AWARDS

The annual end of season Ladies European Tour (LET) awards took place on Sunday night in Malaga following the conclusion of the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho.

An entertaining evening commenced as players and staff celebrated another successful year – one which featured 27 events across five continents and 21 different winners.

Fresh off winning an enthralling Order of Merit showdown, Singapore’s Shannon Tan was awarded the Players’ Player of the Year accolade to cap off a sensational 2025.

The 21-year-old was the unanimous choice among her peers following a season which included two victories at the Amundi German Masters and Hero Women’s Indian Open. Tan was presented the award by LET commentators Sophie Walker and Richard Kaufman.

Speaking at the awards, Tan said: “It definitely means a lot to be standing here and to be called Players’ Player of the Year means the world to me. Thanks to everyone who voted all the players, I see and compete with you guys week in week out. To everyone who has been there for me since I first joined the Tour, it means a lot.”

Elsewhere, England’s Mimi Rhodes was celebrated as the 2025 Rookie of the Year having picked up three wins in 2025. The 23-year-old pushed Tan right to the wire in the Order of Merit finishing just 183.01 points behind the Olympian in second spot.

With back-to-back wins in September at the La Sella Open and Lacoste Ladies Open de France, Canadian Anna Huang received the Rising Star Award.

Having just turned 17-years-old, Huang follows in the footsteps of Germany’s Helen Briem who won the trophy in 2024. Huang received the accolade from Players’ Player Tan during the awards ceremony with the two having struck up a close friendship over the past few months.

Also honoured during the awards evening was South Africa’s Casandra Alexander. The big-hitting 26-year-old ended the season with the best-stroke average on the LET, pipping Tan with a 70.42 average to win the annual trophy.

Alexander’s looper, Charles Moemedi, was also a winner on the night as he picked up the Caddie of the Year award as voted for by the Caddies’ Association. Moemedi helped Alexander to her maiden LET victory at the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open on top of three runner-up finishes. The popular figure was also on the bag for England’s Alice Hewson when she finished second at the Hero Women’s Indian Open in October.

Speaking via media message as Alexander prepares for the Final Stage of LPGA Q-Series, Moemedi said: “I want to say thank you to the whole caddie community and the LET as a whole. Thank you to Team Cass for the opportunity given. It is unexpected but very special.”
