RHODES EXCITED FOR NEW EXPERIENCE AT HERO WOMEN’S INDIAN OPEN

Mimi Rhodes

Mimi Rhodes is enjoying her first trip to India as she prepares to tee it up on the Ladies European Tour (LET) at DLF Golf and Country Club this week.

The English star sits at the top of the LET Order of Merit with just four events of the 2025 season remaining and will compete in this week’s Hero Women’s Indian Open.

With the end of the season in sight, the 23-year-old is still focusing on the task at hand on the golf course, as well as making new memories off it.

“I have a lot of excitement especially playing in a new country,” she said. “But I still have to take the same preparation and make sure that I’m focused and getting in my practice and now spending too much time in Delhi adventuring around.

“I need to make sure I’m staying in the right mindset and practicing and getting ready for the tournament. It’s exciting to be here in a new culture and experience something out of my comfort zone.

“I’m also looking forward to the curry. I like curry – not too spicy. The LET is great because you get to experience so many new places and I really wanted to come to India and see what it was like.”

Rhodes has won three titles in her rookie season securing victories at the Ford NSW Women’s Open, Joburg Ladies Open and Dutch Ladies Open.

She leads Singapore’s Shannon Tan by 209.54 points in the Order of Merit and in the Rookie of the Year, she leads Canada’s Anna Huang by 730.06 points.

The three-time LET winner, who will tee it up in the first round at 11.22 am (local time), is ready for a new week at DLF Golf and Country Club as she takes on the challenge

She continued: “The course is tough. You have to place yourself really well off the tee, the rough is long. I really like it, the layout is really interesting and every hole is different.

“You have to think about your shot off the tee and the rain has helped us as players because I heard the course was really tough last year as it was dry. It’s nice to have shots stopping on the greens. It’s supposed to be sunny, so the course will definitely change, and I just have to adapt my game.

“Off the tee is going to be very important and if you’re in the fairway, then it’s a nice place to attack the pins. There are some tough pin positions because the greens are quite undulating, so making sure you know which greens to attack and not.”

The Hero Women’s Indian Open takes place at DLF Golf and Country Club from Thursday 9 until Sunday 12 October.
