Canada’s Anna Huang has been named the Ladies European Tour (LET) Player of the Month for September 2025, in a breakthrough month highlighted by back-to-back victories.
Voted for by the fans on the LET’s website and app, the 16-year-old was shortlisted by commentators Richard Kaufman and Sophie Walker, alongside last month’s POTM winner Alice Hewson, in addition to France’s Nastasia Nadaud, and Spain’s Nuria Iturrioz.
September marked a historic month for Huang, as the teen clinched her first LET title with a commanding seven-shot victory at the La Sella Open in Spain. Just six days later, she continued her impressive form to lift the Lacoste Ladies Open de France trophy, becoming the third player to record back-to-back wins during the 2025 season. Only current World No 1 Jeeno Thitikul reached two LET victories at a younger age than Huang.
The week before her maiden LET win, the Canadian posted a T7 finish at the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open, signaling that her form was trending in the right direction.
On winning the award, she said: “Being voted Player of the Month is so special. I’m so grateful that there are so many people supporting me and my journey. I’ve had friends tell me that they voted for me this month, which made me very happy and grateful to be surrounded by such amazing people.
“September was such an incredible month. Winning in La Sella was such a breakthrough moment for me, and to win again in France was an absolute dream come true to say the least.
“Now that the wins have settled in, I can finally say that this was an accumulation of years of hard work and dedication, and I’m extremely proud of how far I’ve come.”
The two-time LET winner will be teeing it up this week at the Hero Women’s Indian Open.
She continued: “I’m definitely looking forward to this last stretch of the season. I love traveling around Asia and I hope to finish out the season strong.”
Huang follows in the footsteps of Thailand’s Jeeno Thitikul, England’s Mimi Rhodes, Lottie Woad, and Alice Hewson, South Africa’s Casandra Alexander, and Singapore’s Shannon Tan, as a winner of the Player of the Month during the 2025 season.
