Canada’s Anna Huang stormed to her maiden Ladies European Tour (LET) title at the 2025 La Sella Open winning with a total of 20-under-par at La Sella Golf Resort.

Huang has been in total control this week completing a wire-to-wire victory to win the tournament at the age of 16 years, 10 months and 22 days.

The 16-year-old produced rounds of 64-66-69-69 to become the youngest winner on the LET in 2025 and win by seven strokes.

Huang becomes the second Canadian to win on the LET and the first to win outside of majors with Brooke Henderson’s victory at the 2022 Amundi Evian Championship the first on Tour.

“Honestly, I’m really shocked right now! I can’t believe I just won,” said the rookie. “It’s really crazy. I was really focused on the present and the moment, so the scores weren’t really a distraction to me. I was realised focused on hitting each shot to what I could do.

“Being in the final group showed me that I had to stick with the same game plan and not play too conservatively because what I was doing the past few days was working really well, so I kept that up.”

On the final day, the LET rookie made her first birdie on the third before rolling in another on the ninth in Spain.

The teenager had a more adventurous back nine dropping a shot on 13 before bouncing back with a birdie at the next hole, she dropped another shot on 15 but rolled in a birdie on 16.

Huang finished in style with a birdie at the last to seal a final round of 69 (-3) and get her hands on her first trophy as a professional with her dad Alex by her side.

She continued: “It’s super special to have my dad on the bag. He has caddied for me ever since I started playing golf and it’s super special. Being able to win this at 16 is so insane. I never believed this would ever happen, but I’m so proud of myself. I love when people send me text messages, I’m really excited to reply to all of them.

“At the beginning of the season, I didn’t even have a full card so to win is absolutely insane. I remember I was a reserve for Wistron Ladies Open and Aramco China Championship, but after this, I think I’m good.”

France’s Nastasia Nadaud finished in outright second place on -under-par after a final round of 73 (+1) in Spain.

The 20-year-old put early pressure on Huang with two birdies in her opening two holes but then dropped a shot on the eighth.

She made back-to-back bogeys on 11 and 12 before a miraculous par-save on 13 as she equalled her best-ever LET finish.

Australia’s Maddison Hinson-Tolchard recorded her best-ever finish on the LET with a solo third place on 12-under-par.

The rookie made back-to-back birdies on the second and third before adding another on the ninth and the 12th hole.

Hinson-Tolchard dropped shots on 13 and 14 but bounced back with a birdie on 16 for her round of 69 (-3).

“It’s been a whole year’s worth of work,” said the Australian. “I know my game has been there and it’s just a couple of results that I needed. Finally, it’s all come together at the right time.

“This is such a wonderful week, and everyone hyped this tournament up, I’m glad that I was able to have my best finish here and I look forward to coming back next year.”

Singapore’s Shannon Tan finished fourth on 11-under-par with Ireland’s Lauren Walsh one shot further back in fifth.

Switzerland’s Chiara Tamburlini produced her ninth top-10 finish of the season with a solo sixth place finish; meanwhile, Czechia’s Jana Melichova was seventh on eight-under-par in her first tournament since taking one year off from a back injury.

Spain’s Nuria Iturrioz, Australia’s Kirsten Rudgeley and Italy’s Alessandra Fanali rounded out the top 10 in T8 on seven-under-par.

In the LET Order of Merit, England’s Mimi Rhodes now leads with 2,023.49 points with Tamburlini jumping up to fifth place and Nadaud up to seventh.

Following her victory, Huang climbed from 50th up to 22nd place in the rankings and now has 848.43 points to her name.

The LET ends this stretch of tournaments with next week’s Lacoste Ladies Open de France taking place at Golf Barriere from 25-27 September.
