HEWSON NAMED LET PLAYER OF THE MONTH FOR AUGUST

England’s Alice Hewson has been named the Ladies European Tour (LET) Player of the Month for August 2025.

Voted for by the fans on LET’s website and app, Hewson was shortlisted by commentators Richard Kaufman and Sophie Walker, alongside Sweden’s amateur Meja Örtengren, and Germany’s Leonie Harm and Laura Fünfstück.

Hewson has enjoyed a strong run of form over the past month – one which saw her secure a T4 finish in the individual competition at the PIF London Championship held at Centurion Club. The two-time LET winner then followed it up with a solo seventh-place finish at the Hills Open in Sweden. In a month where she also celebrated her birthday, Hewson’s game is trending in the right direction heading into the last few months of the season.

On winning the award, she said: “It feels fantastic. It was both Rory [Alice’s caddie] and I’s birthday this month too, so we picked a good month to do it in. It’s really nice that the fans have also noticed my consistent play the last few weeks – that kind of recognition is a great feeling.

The 28-year-old will be teeing it up this week at the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open – one which saw her win her second LET title last year.

She continued: “It feels great coming into this week in Switzerland too. We’ve got so many good memories here.”

Hewson follows in the footsteps of Thailand’s Jeeno Thitikul, England’s Mimi Rhodes and Lottie Woad, South Africa’s Casandra Alexander, and Singapore’s Shannon Tan, as a winner of the Player of the Month during the 2025 season.
